Field Trip Relfection
In Bali, the students learned about a lot of things. One of the benefits is that they get to study more, and they get to do it more excitingly, like making biogas, they get to see the cow poop. They also get to see how they make water, gas, and compose from the cow poop and urine; They take the cow poop and urine then mix it together. Which then it will go into some tube underground and will be there for a week or days, then they will turn the tube on the gas will go to the kitchen so they could cook with gas without wasting anything. The other benefit is that we get to experience new stuff like planting a mangrove, like playing traditional games, etc. Planting a mangrove isn’t an easy thing to do we have to walk for a while, then we go into the water; there is mud in the bottom of the water. When we step it, it will bring us down, which is why we have to do it as quickly as possible. Then we have to put the plants and stick wood next to it then tie it together. After all, that we go out of the water with dirty feet us our shoes and walk back. Where later we get to wash our feet and change to new, clean, and fresh clothes. In Penglipuran Village, We got to play with the kids who live there. We played galasin, it was super fun, after playing galasin we played Tom and Jerry, which is just basically a cat chasing a mouse. On the fieldtrip, we also get to learn about conserving and sustainability. Like the turtles, we conserve them by releasing them into the open ocean, which means we protect them or help them. People in the Penglipuran Village sustain the earth by making biogas out of cow poop and urine. So, we won't have to waste a lot of things or a lot of money to make gas or to buy gas. However, this trip also provides some limitations like less sleep for us. We sleep at 10 and wakes up at 5:30, which makes us pretty sleepy. Another limitation in this trip was the unpredictability of the environment.
The benefit in the fieldtrip to Bali helps us become more knowledgeable in some parts, and we can understand the lesson better when explained physically. We also get to play a traditional game, which does not include playing our phones, our eyes can rest, and we get to try the games they do there. The limitations in this fieldtrip made us tired or maybe sick, so did the unpredictability of the environment. The benefit of going on this trip is significant because the students get to see the real actions done in front of them. They also get to experience new thing, and they get to have fun with the children that live in Penglipuran Village. The limitation of going to this trip is significant because the students could get sick, with the unpredictability of the environment their conditions could also worsen.
The skills needed for fieldtrip are creative thinking, courage, communicator, and risk taker. They need to have creative thinking because they could ask questions or learn a new thing every day or every second. Being courageous means that they are willing to do it even when others don’t, they are also willing to help others when needed. Asking a question, and getting more information needs someone who can be a communicator and speak up. They also need to be a risk taker because even if they know they can’t do it, have never tried it, or are afraid they need to be able to take that risk and do what they thought is impossible. Having these skills makes us successful in many ways. One of them is that we get to have more knowledge of being able to speak up, ask questions and being a creative thinker. Having courage is the most important thing of all without being courageous they won’t be able to think clearly and speak up, communicate, and they won't be able to take risks. Being a communicator helps them for the future when they have to represent something or someone if they ever wanted to be president or a teacher. They could teach with courage and be a risk taker. In the future being a risk taker could be bad, and it could be quite good. Being a risk taker means taking risks and doing things they have never done, which helps if they want to try something new. Sometimes if it works their future could be very ravishing, but on the other hand if they fail they could end up not having any job or nothing.
Human is responsible for being good stewards of God’s creation and should not defile the land. God made the world beautiful, but human destroyed what he had made perfect. We humans have to take good care of God’s creation. God has created everything perfectly and he created us in his image. The least we could do for God is to take good care of his creation in the world.
